NURSING RESEARCH COUNCIL
Role: Evaluates research findings for their applicability to the Association. Promotes nurses' participation in research.
Membership: Six to ten members. Six members elected at large with remainder (if necessary) appointed by the Nominating Committee. Members will include one member serving on the Board of Directors and at least one staff nurse, one APN, one nurse educator, one nurse administrator. (Article VII WNA Bylaws)
Specific Responsibilities:

Identifies research questions.

Reports on progress related to goals and other activities at each meeting of the WNA Board of Directors.

Promotes the use of research findings.

Carries out the activities of the Association as identified and assigned by the Board of Directors.

Identifies a research agenda for the Association

Prepares an annual report for submission to the membership at the Annual Meeting.
