The Healthy Nurse Task Force is the area of focus resulting from the 2013 WNA Reference, The Nurse’s Role and Capacity in Addressing Obesity in Wisconsin. One of the sessions at the October 2014 WNA Convention was entitled “OBESITY: Healthy Nurses for a Healthy Wisconsin”. As part of the session conference participants submitted recommendations for moving this work forward. The recommendations addressed WNA’s Programmatic Pillars which are: leadership, research/practice/quality, education, workforce/workplace advocacy, and environment. The Task Force will develop an operational plan for implementation.
