For this Task Force, Inter-professional Education is defined as the continuous development of inter-professional competencies by health professions students as part of the learning process so that students enter the workforce ready to practice effective teamwork and patient centered team-based care.

Goals:

  • Identify national trends and best practices of inter-professional education leading to patient centered team based care
  • Determine inter-professional education and best practices leading to patient centered team based care in Wisconsin
  • Using the information derived from this review, partner with other health professions in Wisconsin to hold a statewide conference where exemplars of inter-professional educational activities leading to patient centered team based care are highlighted. This conference tentatively scheduled for November, 2016.
