Invitation to Discuss the Establishment of a Palliative and End-of-Life Care Mutual Interest Group

One of the ideas generated from the Wisconsin Nurses Association’s 2016 Fall Conference, The Nurse’s Role in Palliative & End-of-Life-Care Across the Lifespan, was the development of an interest group for nurses on the topic of palliative and end-of-life care. WNA sponsors a variety of “mutual interest groups” (MIGs) that provide an on-line platform and other networking opportunities for nurses to connect to and discuss best practices, policy issues, education, research, and increasing nurse’s visibility.

WNA is working with a very committed member, Beth Fahlberg, PhD, RN, CHPN, in the development of a WNA Palliative & End-of-Life Care Mutual Interest Group. We would like to invite you to join us at a meeting to discuss the purpose, structure, and opportunities for nurses to join their colleagues through this proposed WNA supported group.

We will host a face-to-face meeting (with a call-in option) to begin the development of the mutual interest group on:

Date: Wednesday, March 29, 2017
Time: 5:30 pm dinner and networking
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm meeting
Location: WNA Office: 2820 Walton Commons West, Madison, WI 53718

If you would like to join, please register here.

For more information please contact WNA at 608-221-0383 ext. 202 or gina@wisconsinnurse.wpengine.com or Beth Fahlberg at beth.fahlberg@wisc.edu
