Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Nurse of the Year Award

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel just kicked off their annual Nurse of the Year competition. Hundreds of Wisconsin nurses are nominated by their patients, or families of patients, for going above and beyond the standard expectations of a nurse. It’s an opportunity to celebrate and admire all of the amazing work our community’s nurses do every day.

The competition is a yearly source of excitement, so the Journal Sentinel looks for an equally as excited and passionate panel of judges to choose a winner. This year, out of the many qualified nurses who applied to become a judge, three are our own WNA members:

  • Lisa Greenwood
  • Laurie Kunkel-Jordan
  • Carolynn Glocka

We are so proud to have WNA representatives on this prestigious panel of judges this year. The judges will be featured in the Journal Sentinel alongside the 2016 award winners. The issue will run during nurses week, on May 8th, so be sure to check it out! Read the 2015 issue here: jsonline.com
