Wisconsin Nurse Leadership Academy

The Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Executives (W-ONE) and Wisconsin Nurses Association (WNA) have proudly collaborated in creating the Wisconsin Nurse Leadership Academy for our nursing leaders of tomorrow. Read more about this innovative program in the JONA article by Joan Ellis Beglinger or the WNLA Brochure produced by the Wisconsin Center for Nursing.

All RN candidates for the WNLA must be nominated by the Chief Nursing Officer of their employing organization. Staff nurses aspiring to be nurse leaders and new managers from diverse practice environments are welcome to apply.
Each WNLA program consists of 2 on-site conference days followed by 1 additional on-site conference day six weeks later.  Participants must also complete assigned pre-work, conduct a personal ‘project’ at their workplace between class dates, and present the results of their project when returning on Day 3.

Please see the 2018 WNLA FLYER for more information on the program, nomination/application process, and cost.

The nominating CNO will need to provide certain information to the candidate prior to beginning the application – please see page 3 of the 2018 WNLA FLYER for a list of questions to prepare before beginning the online application form.
