Legislative Hearings this Tuesday and Wednesday on Workplace Violence Against Nurses Legislation
The Senate Committee on Judiciary and Public Safety will be holding a Public Hearing, tomorrow Tuesday, September 17, 2019, on SB 163, which standardizes criminal penalty for battery to a nurse regardless of the work setting. The Committee Hearing will take place at 10:00 am at the State Capitol in room 411 South.
The Assembly Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety will be holding a Public Hearing this Wednesday, September 18, 2019, Assembly Bill 175. The language is AB 175 is the same as the companion bill SB 163. The Assembly Public Hearing will take place at 11:00 am at the State Capitol in room 225 Northwest.
