During Nurses Month, the WNA Board and Staff of the Wisconsin Nurses Association would like to extend a special thanks to you, our nurses, as you continue to provide the highest level of quality care to your patients. You deserve special recognition for your efforts to excel, lead, and innovate every day! You make a difference.
Nurses across the world feel unified in the nursing process which makes our profession function with the level of expertise to provide a patient centered plan of care in a wholistic manner. Nursing continues to be a primary educator, advocate and influencer to those we care for. To that end, May is being deemed Nurses Month and provides an opportunity to promote the value of nursing and advocate for the profession.
Each week will have a unique focus and we hope you will follow our social medias to allow you to receive resources and information throughout the month of May.
MAY 1–9 will focus on the emotional and physical wellbeing of nurses and others by engaging in healthy activities that focus on both the body and mind.
MAY 10–16 will raise visibility of the critical work nurses do and foster greater understanding of the diversity of the nursing profession by honoring exemplary nurses and engaging with our community.
MAY 17–23 will focus on how nurses can excel and lead in their career or inspire and help others in their professional nursing journey.
MAY 24–31 will help promote nurses’ WNA and ANA community engagement.
Nurses will be there to provide care to the population of Wisconsin. WNA will be there to provide care and celebrate Wisconsin Nurses!
Thank you for all you do!
Pamela Macari Sanberg MS, RN, NEA-BC President
