Workplace violence (WPV) toward nurses continues to be a growing concern across health systems and other licensed facilities throughout Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Nurses Association (WNA) has conducted a series of surveys over the past years and most recently the “2023 Workplace Violence Prevention Survey.” The 2023 survey assisted WNA in gaining a better understanding of workplace violence post-COVID-19 era and its impact on the nursing workforce.
This recording will provide the landscape of workplace violence toward nurses in Wisconsin that include:
- Results and findings from the 2023 WNA survey.
- Impact of workplace violence on nurses physical and emotional well-being.
- Federal and state legislative and regulatory efforts that address the prevention and response to workplace violence.
- Recommendations for nurses and employers and other key stakeholders.
- Overview of WNA current and future work in addressing workplace violence against nurses.
This recording will provide information on what can be done to address workplace violence toward nurses in Wisconsin.
