The ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses is a foundational document that guides nursing practice and ensures ethical behavior across the profession. As nursing continues to evolve, it is crucial that this code remains relevant and reflective of current practices and ethical standards. That’s why we are excited to invite all WNA members to an exclusive event where we will review and discuss the proposed revisions to the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Event Details:
Date: Wednesday, July 24, 2024
Time: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Platform: Zoom (WNA Members Only)
This is a unique opportunity for WNA members to come together and contribute to the future of nursing ethics. The event will be a comprehensive discussion covering key aspects of the code, including:
- Maintaining professional integrity
- Providing safe and competent care
- Promoting trust and confidence in the nursing profession
- Navigating complex ethical dilemmas with confidence and clarity
The WNA Tri Council members are sponsoring this “Join the Conversation” event. They will collect and submit our collective thoughts and feedback to the ANA Commission on Ethics, ensuring that our voices are heard in the revision process.
To aid in our discussion, WNA will provide a side-by-side comparison of the proposed revisions and the current version of the Code of Ethics. This comparison will be available prior to the event, giving you ample time to review and prepare your thoughts.
Registration Information:
This event is free and open to all WNA members, but registration is required. Don’t miss out on this chance to shape the ethical guidelines that govern our profession.
We look forward to your participation in this crucial conversation. Together, we can ensure that the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses continues to uphold the highest standards of integrity and care in our profession.
