With Election Day just a week away, Wisconsin has taken center stage in what is shaping up to be a high-stakes election. Our lobbying firm has provided an overview of the latest developments, giving insight into the attention and resources both presidential campaigns have poured into Wisconsin.
Both former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris have made Wisconsin a top priority in their campaign efforts. Trump has visited Wisconsin 16 times since July, including an intensive campaign week in early October with four stops across the state. This week, he’s slated for visits to Green Bay and Milwaukee, underscoring his focus on winning Wisconsin as part of his strategy.
Vice President Harris has shown similar commitment, visiting the state a total of 20 times, including three stops in a single day earlier this month. This week, she’s scheduled to hold a rally in Madison.
In addition to the presidential campaigns, the Wisconsin Senate race between Eric Hovde and Senator Tammy Baldwin is drawing attention as polls show a close contest. Baldwin has allocated $44 million to her campaign, while Hovde has invested $22 million.
The stakes are also high in Wisconsin’s state legislative races, with newly redrawn district maps adding intensity to the battle for control. Key Senate districts, including those in North Milwaukee, South Central Wisconsin, Green Bay, and Fox Valley, have received unprecedented campaign funds.
As the election nears, Wisconsin residents are seeing a surge of ads, events, and messages urging them to make their voices heard. Be sure to vote on November 5, 2024.
